Meet Serhat Narsap also knowsn as “Sultan of Wine”. Serhat Narsap DipWSET is a London-based wine professional, entrepreneur and international wine judge. He is the Founder of Sonvino Ltd and Turkish Wine Challenge and Team Captain for Türkiye at the World Blind Tasting Championship. Serhat is a Laurent Perrier Champagne Scholar 2026.
With years of self-directed learning and professional experience, Serhat has cultivated a profound understanding of wine and its rich world. His journey into wine began with a single experience that sparked a lifelong passion. Over the years, Serhat has immersed himself in the industry, meeting people from all walks of life, sharing stories, and learning about the unique qualities of each wine he encountered.
As a dedicated educator and advocate, Serhat has developed a vast network of wineries, professionals, and students. He has witnessed the challenges faced by wineries and colleagues in the wine industry, motivating him to contribute to making the industry as diverse and inclusive as possible. Serhat has committed himself to a mission of enlightening and igniting passion among wine enthusiasts by introducing them to lesser-known wine regions, boutique wineries, and unique grape varieties from across the world.
My work focuses on connecting overlooked producers, emerging wine regions and diverse wine professionals with international opportunity. Through Sonvino, Turkish Wine Challenge, The Blind Table, WBTC Türkiye and Wine Growth Engineer, I build platforms that create commercial visibility, education and market access.
